Citations on the Web

If you want to cite or reference any article on the Web, here is a proposed format. We are not aware of existing standards in this area, but ones are sure to come about as more articles (interactive or otherwise) are disseminated through the Web.

If your article is web-based, you should create a direct link to this paper directly from within the text. The use of a "References" section applies to paper media, whereas a direct hyperlink is appropriate for Web documents. Just include the following HTML:

<a href="http://www.cis.ufl.edu/~fishwick/cpudisk/"
>Citation</a>

If your article is not web-based then the following citation is recommended:

Fishwick, Paul A., Belk, Matthew, R. and Spatz, Bradley, C., "An Interactive Web Simulation of CPU/Disk Performance", URL: http://www.cis.ufl.edu/~fishwick/cpudisk/, September, 1995.
